Well, it is sick from my perspective too. But, I do understand the consistency of it. Man sinned so sin can only be attoned for by a man, but it would only work if the atonement came from a sinless man, so God was the only one who could, but he had to incarnate as a sinless man. To sin is to miss the mark.....

to separate the self from the divine.

Only we can do this....thus we created sin....

as we perceive separation and empower this separation...

As we can clearly see in the Eden tale...when "man created sin" by gaining knowledge of opposites...of good and evil...

the "message" of Christ is therefore unification.....

a release from the duality of separation.....

which in my opinion is seen in many god forms (prections of how the divine manifests)....Its just that "Jesus" was a culmination of all the previous....IMO.....

Thomas Aquinas stated that there are ONLY 3 movements in the universe....

straight line.....masculine..the penis...the rod..the sword..air and fire

circular...vagina...womb...cup..shield...water and earth

and

obtuse.....a unification of male and female...chanign direction midflow...serpetine....the kabbalistic lightning flash..the chord...quintessence...aether..the Christ.....

SO we see the idea of the alchemical unity.....

a "chemical wedding" (the rosicrucian term)...a marraige of opposites to form a new whole.....

Thus we can see....

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Can be equally applied to ANY faith...as long as it seeks unification and not seperation....
